Every other character on this page came from somewhere else first. The Neverland Mermaid did not. She was created here, her tails are built here, her wigs are styled here, and she has been the face of Once Upon an Island since the beginning. When she arrives at your house, she is the real thing, because there is nowhere else she comes from.

A mermaid at your party is lovely. A mermaid at your party who turns every child into a mermaid is a different event entirely. Our illuminated styling stations travel with her, and each guest gets the full transformation: colour, braids, shimmer and the reveal. It is the closest thing to bringing our Balboa Island venue to your front door, and with this character it is the pairing we recommend above every other add-on.

She brings tails for the whole party, and every child gets in the water as a mermaid. Rented for the visit and returned at the end, so there is nothing for you to buy, wash or store.
Our exclusive three-piece dress-up tail and top, and every child takes theirs home. $10 below our in-store retail price, available only when booked with a Neverland Mermaid.
The Once Upon an Island difference
The magic starts before she arrives.
Her tails are built and repaired in our own workshop, her wigs are styled by our head of wig design between every appearance, and she performs in our Balboa Island lagoon every week. She is not a costume hired in for the afternoon. She is a member of a cast.

The full transformation, brought to you. Our illuminated styling stations arrive with your mermaid and every child gets the salon experience: the colour, the braids, the shimmer, the whole thing. This is the pairing we recommend above every other add-on.
A real crystal tiara, presented in a royal crowning ceremony. It is the photograph most parents frame.
For up to 12 children. She brings miniature porcelain tea cups and sets a proper little tea party, picnic-style or poolside. Beverages are provided by the family.
A build-and-stuff experience where every child creates their own sea friend, with help from their mermaid.
