The K-Pop Party
An all-inclusive private birthday party at Once Upon an Island on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, California. The venue becomes her stage. Lights, microphones, a marquee with her name on it, and hosts who teach the choreography and then get out of the way so the girls can perform it. Guests are encouraged to arrive ready to be photographed, because they will be, and every child gets her turn in the salon before she takes the stage.

Décor style
Neon, sequins and stage lights
A lit stage, a sequin wall and a neon sign.

- A character hosted salon experience: every child gets one-on-one time with an idol host while her hair and makeup are done in the style of her choice, including colorful hair piece add-ins to keep and glitter makeup

Hosts run the stage from soundcheck to the last song. Here is the whole thing, in order, so you know exactly what you are booking.
1It starts
They arrive already dressed for it.
Guests are told to come in their best pop star attire, so the getting-ready starts at home and the group walks in already in character. There is no dress-up rail for this one, by design.
2Then
Glam before the stage.
Full makeovers, because you do not go on stage without them. Our hosts do every guest.
3The rehearsal
The choreography, taught properly.
Our hosts teach the routine and then get out of the way so the girls can own it. By the third run they are correcting each other.
4Showtime
Lights, microphones, her name on the marquee.
The venue becomes her stage. Every guest gets the microphone, and our hosts make sure the quiet one sings too. By the end she usually will not give it back.
5And finally
The celebration.
Cake, the birthday moment and photographs on stage under the lights. Our staff handle the rest.

Our characters are on our staff. They host parties at our Newport Beach venue every week, their costumes and wigs are prepared by our own wardrobe and styling team, and they are trained to entertain rather than pose. That is what keeps a room of children engaged for two hours, and it is what lets you sit down.

Questions we are asked most.
Is food included?
Yes, and properly. Every party includes a catered tea party luncheon: cheese pizza, Pirate’s Booty popcorn, tropical fruit snacks and our signature pink sparkling tea, all served to the children by our staff. We love pizza because kids actually eat it. All of our food is catered, and if you would like to switch the menu, just ask. We do not include cake or dessert, but our team will cut and serve yours during the celebration.
Is dress-up included?
No. Guests are encouraged to arrive in their best pop star attire, which is part of the fun.
Are makeovers included?
Yes, the full salon makeover experience.
What ages is it best for?
Older children who are into music and performing.
How long is it?
